Are you interested in Adventure Tourism (AT)? Would you like to become a guide who shares the charm of your local area?
This fall and winter, Oita Prefecture will host the “AT Guide Boot Camp,” a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on training.
As interest grows in guides who can present regional stories through immersive experiences, this program provides both foundational knowledge and field training under the guidance of experienced instructors. Whether you're an active guide seeking to advance your skills or a newcomer ready to take the first step, this camp welcomes participants from all levels.
In addition to workshops and fieldwork, the program also offers a great chance to connect with like-minded participants from across Japan.

AT Guide Boot Camp – Program Information
Dates:
Preliminary Online Course: From November 1 (Sat), 2025
Field Training [Group 1]: December 19 (Fri) – 21 (Sun), 2025
Field Training [Group 2]: January 9 (Fri) – 11 (Sun), 2026
Participants will join either Group 1 or Group 2 (same content)
Location: Nata Midoriso Beach House (231-10 Nata, Kitsuki City, Oita Prefecture)
Fee: ¥25,000 (includes lodging at Nata Midoriso Beach House and meals)
