The winter tradition “Oita Fantasy of Lights” will be held again this year! Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the event will illuminate the city with about 550,000 sparkling lights stretching from the JR Oita Station Funai Chuo Exit Plaza to the south side of the Showa Street intersection, including Funai Aqua Park, Galleria Takemachi Dome Plaza, Wakakusa Park, and Funai Sun Sun Street.

At 5:00 p.m., Funai Aqua Park transforms into a romantic scene glowing with champagne-gold lights. In Wakakusa Park, a seven-color illumination shines beautifully over the fountains, and this year, the central median greenery along Chuo Street debuts as a new illuminated spot.

Special photo spots commemorating the 10th anniversary also appear throughout the area, offering new and delightful expressions of light as you stroll through the town.
